New York City is the fashion capital of the world, and it is the perfect place to begin our story. We explored many neighborhoods across the city, including Midtown, the Lower East Side, and Soho, but ultimately we chose the West Village to be our home.
What makes the West Village so special is its deep sense of history and community. The area is filled with historic landmarks and beautifully preserved architecture. It's slower, more relaxed pace offers a rare sense of calm in the heart of New York City. It is the kind of neighborhood where stories are told through its buildings, its streets, and the people who have lived here for generations.
We wanted Old The Best to be rooted in a place that feels personal and enduring, a neighborhood where we can connect with both the community and its history. The West Village is one of the few places in the city where you still see familiar faces, where neighbors greet each other by name.
Old The Best was never meant to be a fleeting pop-up or a temporary stop. From the beginning, we envisioned it as a lasting home, just like the stories we hope to preserve and share through the treasures we curate.
